Nordtech is a Kiwa-certified inspection body for work equipment, certificate SV-228, and carries out inspections in the workshop in Rypefjord or at the customer's site. Statutory inspection must as a general rule be carried out every 12 months. We document the equipment and mark it with a QR code. Equipment that fails, we repair where we can. Otherwise we source a replacement through our supplier network.

How often must lifting equipment be inspected?
As a general rule every 12 months. The Norwegian regulation on the performance of work, section 13-2, requires periodic statutory inspection of lifting appliances and lifting accessories every 12 months, and more often when use or environment requires it. Nordtech carries out the inspection in Hammerfest, in the workshop at Leirvikhøyda 4 in Rypefjord or at the customer's site.
Can you certify our lifting equipment?
What customers often call certification is statutory inspection, or sakkyndig kontroll in Norwegian. Nordtech is a Kiwa-certified inspection body with certificate SV-228 for work-equipment inspection. The equipment groups on this page show the scope.
Do you come to us, or must the equipment go to the workshop?
Both. Inspection can be carried out in the workshop at Leirvikhøyda 4 in Rypefjord or at the customer's site. Tell us the equipment type and where it is, and we will agree on the location.
Will we receive inspection documentation?
Yes. Inspected equipment is documented and marked with a QR code. Existing customers can sign in to Onix Express to retrieve certificates.
Do you inspect fall-protection equipment and pallet racking?
Yes. Fall-protection and racking inspection are separate Nordtech services in addition to the equipment groups covered by the Kiwa certificate.
