Nordtech Services AS (org. no. 927 358 298), Leirvikhøyda 4, 9610 Rypefjord, Norway, is the data controller for the personal data collected on nordtech-services.no. That means we decide what the data is used for, and we answer for it being done properly.

When you send a form on this site, the content goes to our e-mail address post@nordtech-services.no. It is not stored in any form archive or customer register on the website — your message becomes an e-mail with us, just as if you had written it yourself. The same applies when you call or e-mail us directly.

The data we receive is what you provide: name, company, e-mail address, phone number, the subject of your enquiry and your message. We use it to reply and to follow up. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). If the enquiry leads to an order, the basis is the agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b)).

E-mails are kept for as long as necessary to follow up the enquiry and any resulting order. Data that forms part of an agreement is kept for as long as Norwegian accounting law requires.

The delivery itself is handled on our behalf by the e-mail provider Resend, which processes the data only in order to deliver the message to us. Messages are processed on the provider’s servers in Ireland, and we have a data processing agreement with the provider. The message is not stored in any register on the website.

To prevent the form being misused for bulk sending, we briefly look at the IP address a submission comes from and count how many messages have been sent from it in the last few minutes. The address is not stored, and is not used for anything else.

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, how people find their way around, and whether the phone number, e-mail address or form is used. The statistics are used only to improve the site. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you give in the box at the bottom of the page on your first visit.

Before you answer, no cookies are set. Google then receives only signals without an identifier, used to estimate visitor numbers, not to recognise you. If you decline, that is the end of it. If you accept, the cookies in the table below are set.

Google Analytics collects which pages you open, where you came from, the type of device and browser you use, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and whether you click the phone number, e-mail or form. Your name, e-mail address and anything you type into the form are never sent to Google. We do not use advertising or profiling.

The recipient is Google Ireland Limited. Google may transfer data to the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has approved as a transfer mechanism. Google keeps statistics data for up to 14 months.

In addition, we measure visits and page speed with Vercel's own tools (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights), which run without cookies and without consent. They do not store your IP address and place nothing in your browser; visits are told apart by a temporary code derived from the request, which is deleted after 24 hours. What is recorded is which page was viewed, where you came from, country and region, device type, browser and operating system, and how fast the page loaded. The figures are aggregated and cannot be linked to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how many people use the site and whether it works (Article 6(1)(f)).

Norwegian law (the Electronic Communications Act) requires us to ask before anything is stored in your browser that is not needed for the site to work. This is everything the site stores:

The map on the front page, the contact page and About Nordtech is loaded from Google Maps. When the map scrolls into view, your browser sends your IP address and browser information to Google to fetch it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing where we are. Google describes its own processing in the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA), which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Like all web servers, Vercel briefly logs IP addresses and requests for operations and security. The fonts are served from our own server, so no font provider sees your visit.

The link to Onix Express leads to Onix’s own service, where Onix’s privacy notice applies.

On the Norwegian site you can ask for one e-mail reminder before the next annual inspection of your lifting equipment. You provide the company name, an e-mail address and the month of the last inspection, and tick a box allowing us to send the reminder. We calculate the next deadline as the last inspection plus twelve months.

The data is used for this only: one e-mail in the month before the deadline, offering to book the inspection. No newsletters, no other marketing. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the Norwegian Marketing Control Act section 15).

The registration reaches us as an e-mail, and the data is also stored in a contact list with the e-mail provider Resend, on the provider’s servers in Ireland, so the reminder can be sent automatically. We have a data processing agreement with the provider. The data is kept until you withdraw your consent, or until we discontinue the service.

You withdraw your consent by replying to the reminder or by e-mailing post@nordtech-services.no. You are then removed from the list.

You have the right to know what data we hold about you (access), to have it corrected or deleted, to have its use restricted, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to receive the data you gave us in a portable format. Consent to statistics can be withdrawn at any time, without affecting what was done before.

Send your request to post@nordtech-services.no and we will reply within a month. If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no). We would appreciate hearing from you first.
